History

Sisters, Iriani & Izyan Rashid ( both local university accounting students ) were just goofing around not having much to do during our semester break. On one fine day, we had a craving for our mother's vanilla cupcakes she used to bake for us. With a recipe in hand and a spatula in the other. we decided to give it a shot in baking the fluffy golden yummies ourselves.

A few hours later, with the kitchen looking as if it was hit by a hurricane, we have CUPCAKES! And they tasted just like the ones our mother used to bake. We decorated the what seemed, then, glorious cupcakes with icings and brought them to a birthday party as a present.

We were flattered the hostess loved the cupcakes and even asked if we could whip up another batch of cupcakes for her. That was when we had an epiphany to start up our little cupcake trade.

We put our thinking hats, headed to the drawing board and started pouring out ideas on how to market the cupcakes. Cakes, muffins and cookies came shortly after that. We initially came up withe the name "karōton" (an ancient greek name for carrot) as a brand name. But due to some difficulties in pronounciation, we change the name to "Sugar Rush".
