FAQ

1. How do i place an order?

We have provided and online ordering form for your convenience. If you are to order through calls or sms, the online order form can be used as a guideline in placing your order. Nevertheless, here are a few steps that might be useful for you in placing an order.

  • Step 1 : Browse through our pictures or galleries to have an idea of what you want and what we offer.
  • Step 2 : Check for the price related for the selected items.
  • Step 4 : Wait for a response or confirmation from us.
  • Step 5 : Make a deposit or full payment to our account to confirm and finalize the order.
  • Step 6 : Collect the goodies!


2. I want to place an order for someone special. But i just don't know which one to choose from.

Most customers are having trouble selecting what's best for that special someone. As the cake industry in growing with no limitations, its no wonder some of us are having a hard time choosing the perfect item. Some (usually men) have no clue on certain terms (eg. fondant? gumpaste?). No worries! We understand. We will be more than happy to help you by suggesting the perfect item!

  • Step 1 : Tell us your budget.
  • Step 2 : What is the occasion for?
  • Step 3 : Tell us a little about that special someone's interest, hobbies, etc...


3. When do i need to place an order?

For small orders, please place an order at least 2 weeks in notice.
For large orders, please place an order at least 1 month in notice.
We do entertain last minute orders, only if there are available slots and time.
Accepting orders are all depend upon our time availability, we do not like to turn down orders, believe us, but sometime time is just not on our side.



4. How long is the shelf life of the cupcakes?

The cupcakes will be at best if stored in room temperature for 4 days. The cupcakes can last longer if stored in the fridge, approx 2 weeks.



5. How do i store the cakes and cupcakes?

It depends on the type of frosting and decoration.

Room temperature : Fondant, Gumpaste, Buttercream

Fridge : Fresh Cream, Fruits, Buttercream



6. Is it ok for the cakes to travel long distance?

For long distance travel, fondant cakes are the most suitable selection. It is the easiest cake to handle as the surface is hard, it will always stay in shape. Cakes with fresh cream are a NO-NO, including mousse cakes as they will melt in the heat. NEVER place the cakes in the car boot.



7. Why is the cake so expensive?

All items offered by Sugar Rush are customized and on a made to order basis. It's nothing similar to the ones offered at commercial bakeries where items are massively produced. All items are baked and decorated from scratch. We use quality ingredients to make sure that it looks good and taste good as well. We design each items individualy as detail and as neat as possible. We make according to your needs and prefference. We allow you to choose every little details and design. We make personal consultations. We make sure that what we produce is something unique and special to you.



8. Why is the delivery rate so expensive?

We do not like to place extra charges to our customers. That's why we prefer our customers to self collect the items from our place. Our rates are considered to be quite reasonable as travelling in the Klang Valley can be quite time consuming and costly. Traffic congestion is usually the main problem, we usually spent hours on the road, through and fro.



9. Can i get a discount? hehe..

The most frequently asked question! There's nothing wrong in asking for a discount right? Yes, you may ask for a discount, but please be reasonable. We do give discounts, if you order in bulk (large quantities).
